Partner Schools for Pre-Pharmacy Curricula
Pre-Pharmacy: Main | Admissions | Curriculum | Partner Schools | Undergraduate FAQ | Office of Student Services
The Pre-Pharmacy program consists of two years of study which may be completed at most accredited colleges or universities. If you decide to attend another institution to complete Pre-Pharmacy, we encourage you to consider our list of Partner Schools. These schools have established a close working relationship with us and list a complete plan of study including contact persons for their individual campuses. It is important to plan a sound curricular program, and the Partner Schools are a good option to consider.
If you choose to attend an institution outside of the Partner Schools list, it is important to be well aware of the competitive application process. Due to the large number of applications received for admission to our professional program, highest consideration will be given to those students attending accredited colleges and universities that are considered to be major research institutions.
Please Note: Transfer students are exempt from taking PHPR 100 (Pharmacy Orientation).
Also note: The faculty of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences approved a revised Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) curriculum in April 2009. Although the implementation time frame is not yet firm, it is anticipated that the listed requirements will be in place for students admitted to the professional program for the Fall 2012 semester. To meet the new pre-pharmacy requirements for the revised Pharm.D. curriculum, students may need courses such as biochemistry, immunology, introductory statistics, and interpersonal communications in addition to those courses listed on each pre-pharmacy plan of study. Updated information on the new curriculum and its requirements will be posted on this web site once it becomes available.
