Alumni & Friends: Class Reunions

The College of Pharmacy, in an effort to create a unique opportunity for its alumni to reconnect with the College and former classmates, has established two major reunion weekends! Both are held during the fall and are centered around Purdue Football. On Alumni Weekend the College will celebrate the 50th Class Reunion. The attendees will have the opportunity to participate in College reunion activities as well as university reunion activities. These activities include campus tours, a luncheon with the Dean, a 50th reunion dinner, back to class sessions and much more. The 2011 50th Reunion will celebrate the Class of 1961 and will be held on September 16th and 17th. The Fall Reunion weekend celebrates the five, ten, fifteen and twenty-five year reunions from the College. Alumni have the opportunity to reconnect with classmates at a variety of activities including a tailgate before the game. The weekend holds opportunities to connect with former faculty, current faculty and students as well. The 2011 Fall Reunion weekend coincides with Homecoming and will be held on October 21st and 22nd. In 2011 the College will also host a 35th Reunion Weekend honoring the Class of 1976 on November 11th and 12th. See our reunion resources page for helpful information for all reunions. The College of Pharmacy welcomed over three hundred alumni, students and friends to its annual Homecoming tailgate on October 22, 2011. Dean and Mrs. Svensson greeted guests as they arrived at the tent. Several pharmacy student organizations sold pharmacy items to alumni. Multicultural programs students greeted alumni at the registration table. Sgt. Preston's catering had great food and lots of hot coffee! Alumni enjoyed reconnecting with friends and former faculty. read more
Class of 1961 Reunion - September 16, 2011
The Purdue Alumni Association held its annual Alumni Weekend on September 16-17, 2011. This weekend is devoted to bringing Purdue Alumni back to campus. Special activities are held all weekend for all alumni with special activities for the 50th year reunion alumni. Classes of 1980 and 1981 Reunion - Nov. 12-13, 2010
Classmates from the classes of 1980 and 1981 gathered during November 12-13 in celebration of their 30th reunion. Several classmates started off the weekend with a round of golf at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex as they played the Kampen course. On Friday, guests were also invited to attend the Varro E. Tyler Lecture in the morning, followed by roundtable discussions with Pharmacy students after lunch. A tour of the Pharmacy building and campus was given later that afternoon. Class of 1960 Reunion - September 24-25, 2010
The Purdue Pharmacy Class of 1960 visited campus the weekend of September 24-25, 2010. The class participated in several pharmacy events as well as activities planned by the Purdue Alumni Association as part of their Alumni Weekend. Fall Reunion Weekend - September 25-26, 2009
The College of Pharmacy held its annual Fall Reunion Weekend on September 25th and 26th, 2009. This year's reunion celebrated the Classes of 1984, 1994, 1999 and 2004. The weekend was kicked off by an afternoon of continuing education. Fifteen alumni came back to hear a law update from Dr. Tom Wilson as well as drug interactions with dietary supplements and treating addiction "in front of the counter" with Dr. Cindi Koh-Knox. read more
Class of 1959 Reunion - April 17-19, 2009
The College of Pharmacy was honored to have back to campus the Pharmacy Class of 1959 on April 17-19, 2009. In conjunction with the Purdue Alumni Association, the College hosted several events for the alumni throughout the weekend. The weekend included campus tours, 50th Reunion dinner, Back to Class sessions, Loyalty Luncheon, Class parade and much more. read more
Fall Reunion Weekend - November 21-22, 2008
On November 21-22, 2008 the College of Pharmacy celebrated its Fall Reunion Weekend. The Pharmacy Classes of 1983, 1993, 1998 and 2003 were celebrated during the weekend. Alumni came back to campus on Friday, November 21st for a tour of campus and the pharmacy building. read more
Class of 1958 Reunion - April 11-13, 2008
The Purdue Pharmacy Class of 1958 returned to campus on April 11th through the 13th for the 50th Class Reunion! Seventeen class members along with their spouses attended a reception on Friday evening. Everyone was greeted by Dr. Patrick Belcastro and his wife, Hannah, and Dean Craig Svensson and his wife, Sue. Class of 1997 and 2002 Reunion - October 5-6, 2007
The Pharmacy Classes of 1997 and 2002 visited the West Lafayette campus on October 5 and 6, 2007. The reunion events included a tour of the Purdue Campus as well as a Pharmacy Back to Class on Medication Safety. The reunion attendees enjoyed getting reacquainted at a reception on Friday evening and a tailgate Saturday before the Purdue vs. Ohio State game. It was a great weekend but it would have been even better if Purdue had been victorious! read more

Class of 1957 Reunion - April 14-16, 2007
The Pharmacy Class of 1957 returned to campus on April 14th for their 50th Class reunion. The class was treated to two "Back to Class" presentations. Dr. Kim Plake reviewed her "Geriatrics game" with the group and Dr. Patrick Belcastro reviewed how things have changed over the last 50 years in Pharmacy.
