Development: Stewardship
Most of us were taught from the time we began to talk that it was only polite to thank someone when we received a gift. Individuals, corporations, foundations, and others who provide financial support to the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences deserve nothing less.
We recognize that our Donors entrust funds to the School with the confident expectation that their gifts will be managed in a fiscally responsible and timely manner. We make every effort to ensure that the donors' confidence in our stewardship is well placed and that all monies designated for restricted purposes are expended under the guidelines and within the timeframe requested by the donors.
In the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, we have numerous ways to thank our generous benefactors.
- Every donor receives a receipt from the University to verify that their gift was received and that it correctly designated according to the donor's intent.
- The Purdue Pharmacist magazine is sent three times a year to all alumni and donors, and each year we produce a complete Donor Honor Roll in the School's Annual Report.
- Donors of funds used to create endowments receive annual stewardship reports showing yearly income and distribution and detailed information about the use of their gifts.
- Within the halls of the Heine Pharmacy Building are numerous recognition plaques, including our Donor Wall of Fame.
In an effort to maintain an ongoing relationship with our donors, we host numerous mutually beneficial engagement activities consistent with the mission and goals of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the University as a whole.
- Each fall, we invite you to return to campus and share the football season with us, including class reunion get-togethers.
- Our annual Homecoming Tailgate is open to all alumni and friend donors.
- We host an annual Donor Recognition Brunch where scholarship donors can meet and get to know the students their generosity supports.
- There are receptions held at various locations around the State and at regional meetings and conferences where people can meet the Dean and faculty members to hear the latest benefits that gifts to the School have made possible.
- Our Annual BoileRx Golf Outing is a special time for alumni, donors and friends of the School to gather for food, fun and fellowship.
Our doors are always open to you. We invite you to stop by the School any time you are on campus and see the fruits of your gifts. Every gift counts, and we appreciate your continued dedication to the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Hail Purdue!
