Purpose
To advise the College of Pharmacy on emerging trends in health care, especially as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry, and to assist the College in developing the resources needed to keep it on the cutting edge of pharmaceutical research and education.
Membership
The council consists of 15 to 25 members broadly representing all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry and our departmental disciplines.
Membership is at the invitation of the dean.
Company representation is generally limited to one member per company, unless significantly different roles are represented, in which case two individuals may serve.
The term of office is 3 years with reappointment possible.
Meetings
The council usually meets once a year in the fall.
Financial Considerations
The College of Pharmacy does not reimburse members for incurred expenses of travel, lodging, or meals. Lunch is provided the day of the meeting.
Council members are asked to contribute in an exemplary manner to the College of Pharmacy annual fund.
