Pharmacy Day On Campus - June 14 - July 1, 2005

Day on Campus is a University-wide freshman registration event. Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged. Pharmacy Days On Campus are June 14-July 1, 2005. During this time, incoming students can:

  • Meeting their academic advisor
  • Register for Fall classes
  • Be introduced to (or review) the Pre-Pharmacy program of study
  • Have a one-on-one orientation to Purdue University and the School of Pharmacy
  • Take advanced placement tests in foreign language or math, if they desire

Below are a few photos showing what happens during a typical Day on Campus.

  
The School of Pharmacy's Day on Campus runs for two weeks.   Early in the morning, students and their families gather outside of room 172, the main lecture hall.
 
  
The Office of Student Services staff are on hand to greet them.   The incoming students look younger every year!
 
  
Holly Keckler, Associate Director for Recruitment, starts the day with a talk about Purdue and Indiana.   The students and parents are provided copies of all the information.
 
  
The School's two different programs of undergraduate study are explained.   The administrative structure of the School is described.
 
  
Multicultural programs are introduced.   The functions of the Office of Student Services are explained.
 
  
Everyone learns a great deal.   The day's activities within the School of Pharmacy are explained...
 
  
... as well as business that needs to be handled elsewhere on campus.   After the opening talk, the students take an algebra and trigonometry quiz...
