Pharmacy First Nighter- August 30, 2005

Pharmacy First Nighter is a welcome-back event for students that allows them to explore the several Pharmacy student organizations. All 16 of our student organizations had tables set up and representatives on hand to share information about their various programs. The event was organized by the Pharmacy Student Council, and sponsored by Walgreens. Despite the rain which forced the event indoors, hundreds of students turned out for a very successful and enjoyable evening.

Students entering First Nighter were given coupons for free pizza, courtesy of Walgreens.		Bill Sonner, District Pharmacy Supervisor for Walgreens, headed up the pizza distribution. Thanks to Bill and to Walgreens!
In spite of the rain, the 2005 Pharmacy First Nighter proved to be a huge success!		The Purdue Pharmacy Ambassadors welcomed everyone!
Pharmacy alumni now employed by Walgreens hammed it up for the camera.		Miss Anna Plake and her mother, Dr. Kim Plake, enjoy the festivities.
Phi Delta Chi representatives were on hand to recruit new members.		The Society of Nuclear Pharmacy's booth had an almost radiant glow!
Kappa Psi Professional Pharmaceutical Fraternity was well represented.		NCPA Purdue Student Chapter is a new organization for Purdue's School of Pharmacy.
Potential Pharmacy Peer Mentors visit with Dr. Cindi Koh-Knox.		All was quiet at the Rho Chi Silent Auction.
The Purdue Student Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists drew a good crowd.		The Academy of Student Pharmacists were obviously planning a trip to California!.
