Day on Campus is a University-wide freshman registration event. Attendance is not mandatory, but is highly encouraged. Pharmacy Days On Campus are June 10-27, 2008. During this time, incoming students can:

  • Meeting their academic advisor
  • Register for Fall classes
  • Be introduced to (or review) the Pre-Pharmacy program of study
  • Have a one-on-one orientation to Purdue University and the School of Pharmacy
  • Take advanced placement tests in foreign language or math, if they desire

Below are some photos showing what happens during Day on Campus.

Academic Counselors from the Office of Student Services are waiting to greet new students at 7:30 AM.   Coffee and juice are available, and new students' names are up on the electronic bulletin boards.

Everyone is greeted personally and welcomed to Purdue.   The day officially begins with a slideshow...

...given by Holly Keckler of the Office of Student Services.   Students are introduced to the College administration,

the Office of Student Services,   and the Office of Multicultural Programs.

New students are introduced to the several programs of study...   ...and the expectations that the School has for them.

They learn the syllabus of the Office of Student Services...   ...and when and where help and advice can be found.

The day's schedule is spelled out in general terms...   ...and specific terms as well.

Purdue's special resources are laid out for the students who need them.   Everyone is told what to expect in their individual advising sessions.

Everyone is told about Purdue's new Banner software...   ...how billing will take place...

...and all of the important dates involved   Students are encouraged to be a part of the University community.

Any remaining questions are answered cheerfully.   After the introductory talk, the new students take an algebra and trigonometry quiz...

... while their parents get their own questions answered.   Later, students meet with their academic advisors.

They learn what their schedules will be...   ...and have everything explained to them.
