Glen J. Sperandio award - June 26, 2008

On June 26, 2008 the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences visited Lebanon, Indiana to celebrate with the community the contributions made by the Cowan Family. Max, LuAnn and John Cowan were awarded the Glen J. Sperandio award for outstanding contributions to pharmacy practice. Family and friends helped the School recognize an outstanding family!

The evening was kicked off by a wonderful toast by Russell Hardin, a long time friend of Max's. Dean Craig Svensson presented the award to the family. He thanked them for all they have done for the profession of pharmacy and the School. He especially thanked them for all they do for our pharmacy students. After the presentation, Max, LuAnn and John took a few minutes to thank their family, friends and employees. Several friends of the Cowans gave short testimonials about them and the kind of wonderful family they are. It was obvious that the Cowans mean a lot to their community and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences!

Ulen Country Club in Lebanon was the perfect location for the recognition.   John visits with family and friends.
