On September 14, 2008 the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences hosted its White Coat Ceremony. Nine hundred family, friends, faculty, staff and students celebrated with the Pharmacy Class of 2012. The students were welcomed into the School of Pharmacy by Mark Bunton, B.S. 1995, past-president of the Pharmacy Alumni Association Board. Cathy Simmons, B.S. 1998 congratulated the group on behalf of Walgreens. Thank you goes out to Walgreens for sponsoring the White Coat Ceremony.
Dr. Johnnie Early, Dean of Pharmacy, University of Toledo and Purdue Pharmacy alumnus, Ph.D. 1979 and M.S. 1976, was the guest speaker. He challenged the class to make the most of their opportunities while in Pharmacy School. Each student received a personalized copy of the Oath of the Pharmacist and was greeted by the faculty and staff of the School.
