Homecoming - October 3, 2009

The 2009 Pharmacy Homecoming Tailgate attracted hundreds of alumni and friends of the School back to campus on Saturday, October 3, 2009. The event offered alumni and students the opportunity to interact. Alumni also were able to reconnect with classmates and former faculty. Former faculty Patrick Belcastro and Nick Popovich were on hand to see former students. Alumni came from Indiana, Florida, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and many more places!

The menu included grilled chicken, barbeque, sausage gravy and biscuits. The coffee was great to knock off the chill. The weather did not dampen the spirits of these loyal Boilermakers. Everyone was happy as they departed for Ross-Ade Stadium and the Homecoming game versus Northwestern. The outcome of the game was not very good, but Pharmacy alumni and students received a special treat at halftime. The Purdue All-American Marching Band performed "I Want a New Drug" at halftime as they formed the Rx symbol in celebration of the 125th Anniversary of the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
