2009 Distinguished Alumni and Friends of Pharmacy Awards Program - October 30, 2009

The 2009 Distinguished Alumni and Friend of Pharmacy were recognized on Friday, October 30, 2009. The group was welcomed to campus with a small breakfast in the Heine Pharmacy building by faculty and staff of the School. The rest of the morning was spent interacting with students and faculty of the School.

The group received their awards at an Awards Luncheon in the East and West Faculty Lounges in the Purdue Memorial Union. Dean Svensson welcomed everyone to this special event. Senior Associate Dean, Holly Mason read the citations as the award winners came forward to receive their awards. Each had the opportunity to say a few words about receiving this award.

The School was happy to recognize Holly Bonsignore, Dolores Shockley and Satish Reddy as Distinguished Alumni. We were also pleased to recognize an outstanding friend, Bill Sonner, as the 2009 Friend of Pharmacy. Gregory Wasson was also a 2009 Distinguished Alumnus, however he was unable to attend the awards program. He received his award at the Distinguished Alumni Reunion Dinner on November 13, 2009.
