Reception at the Indianapolis Zoo - March 29, 2010

The Purdue School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences reserved the Oceans area of the Indianapolis Zoo on March 29, 2010 for an evening reception recognizing our dedicated Indianapolis-area preceptors.  Over 100 alumni, faculty, preceptors, and students gathered to mingle and enjoy the experience of seeing a wide variety of animals that call the world's oceans home.  Dean Svensson and Drs. Steve Abel, Brian Shepler, and Christy Nash were hosts for the event.  They all expressed their sincere appreciation for the valuable contributions our preceptors make to the preparation of our student pharmacists.

Drs. Patrick Belcastro and Stan Shaw, retired school faculty, were on hand as well to reconnect with former students and reminisce about times past.

Among the ten door prizes awarded, Valerie Gaylor and Sharon Anderson received one of the School’s 125th Anniversary commemorative plates; eight other alumni went home with copies of our 125th DVD.
