Class of 1960 Reunion - September 24-25, 2010

The Purdue Pharmacy Class of 1960 visited campus the weekend of September 24-25, 2010. The class participated in several pharmacy events as well as activities planned by the Purdue Alumni Association as part of their Alumni Weekend. A group of students from our pharmacy student organization APhA-ASP did health screenings during registration at the Dauch Alumni Center.

The Pharmacy weekend's activities kicked off with a luncheon in the Anniversary Drawing Room in the Purdue Memorial Union. Dean Svensson gave a brief update on the College. Dr. Patrick Belcastro and Dr. Garnet Peck attended the luncheon to visit with their former students. Alumni had a great time getting reacquainted with each other and their former professors. They even got a chance to see photographs of themselves from 1960.

On Saturday, Ms. Jane Krause, Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, and Rachel Snodgrass, third year PharmD student, gave a tour of the Pharmacy Building. At the end of the tour, Dr. Patrick Belcastro gave a brief overview of how things have changed over the last fifty years. Dr. Belcastro discussed former faculty with the class as well as current students and admissions processes.
