Meeting Global Challenges

The College of Pharmacy is committed to providing high impact global opportunities for our students. Our most extensive global engagement is through our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine and Moi University in Eldoret, Kenya. Under the direction of a full-time faculty member sited in Eldoret, we provide an 8-week clinical experience for students in their final year of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program. Working in the Noble Peace Prize nominated AMPATH program, students are engaged in providing pharmaceutical care to patients living with HIV in a resource-constrained environment. Through our engagement in Kenya, the College is an active participant in combating the consequences of the AIDS pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition to our extensive program in Kenya, ongoing opportunities for global experiences through the College include the United Kingdom, Thailand, and France. Developing partnerships in Tanzania and Mexico are expected to expand these opportunities further.
