From the Dean
As Dean of one of the oldest and most respected Schools of Pharmacy in the country, I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere with our students, as well as alumni and friends. With this new monthly newsletter, our goal is to keep you abreast of activities in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmacal Sciences and selected activities throughout Purdue University. We hope you find this information useful, relevant, and interesting. As alumni and friends, we look forward to working with each of you so that we may reach new levels of excellence. With your help and support we can accomplish great things. We hope that you enjoy the layout and format of the new newsletter. As always, please do not hesitate to contact our office with any questions or concerns. Our desire is to be a valuable resource. Please let us know if there is a topic you would like to have presented in the newsletter.We would also be happy to post informational items of general interest.
Albertson's, Inc./Osco Drug Luncheon A luncheon was held on January 31, 2003, to thank Albertson's, Inc./Osco Drug for their support of the Purdue University Minority Program.A plaque to commemorate the occasion was presented to Bobbie Riley from Osco Drug.Also in attendance were Dennis Reber and Nikki Price from Indianapolis.
In order to utilize modern technology more efficiently, and to keep our alumni and friends informed of current activities at the School of Pharmacy, we have decided to send a monthly newsletter via E-mail. In order to be successful and provide you with the information you find useful or interesting, please take a moment to complete this survey. Dean's Pharmacy Executive Forum
Pharmacy business leaders have participated in the Purdue University Dean's Pharmacy Executive Forum during this semester.The forum provides an opportunity for the exchange of ideas and promotion of greater understanding in fields of pharmacy. While the series is designed primarily for students and is an academic elective course, it is of value for anyone interested in the field.The lectures are free and open to the public and start at 10:30 am in Heine Pharmacy Building, room 164.
