It's never too late to start learning something new

Continuing education can be very helpful in increasing your happiness with your career or your retirement. Learning something new can add spice to your life, make you a more interesting person, and maybe even plant the seed for a new career you can start in retirement!

- List potential opportunities for nurses and pharmacists to contribute to healthy aging through healthy lifestyle promotion, early disease detection, immunization, injury prevention, and self-management techniques for chronic diseases.
- Describe barriers to healthy aging.
- Identify the contents of every individual's prescription for healthy aging.
June 11, 2004 - Use of Informational Technology in Practice ACPE # 018-000-04-005-L04, 1.5 CE contact hours After completing this program, the participant will be able to:
- Identify high-technology informational resources that might support nursing and pharmacy practice.
- List the benefits/risks of application of informational technology to professional practice.
- Compare and contrast informational technology resources.
June 12, 2004 - Caring for the Culturally Diverse ACPE # 018-000-04-006-L04, 1.5 CE contact hours After completing this program, the participant will be able to:
- Define culturally diverse and explain its relevance to health care.
- List patient-based cultural challenges associated with the provision of health care.
- Identify a minimum of three techniques that will minimize cultural challenges focused on successful health care outcomes.
