![]() State Fair HighlightsPurdue University hosted "Purdue Day at the Indiana State Fair, on August 18, 2004. This year the School of Pharmacy booth featured a contest for those hearty souls who braved the heat and dust of the Midway. Phishing phor Pharmacy Pfacts had people answering such in-depth questions as "Should you tell your doctor and your pharmacist about food and drug allergies?" and "Should you keep medications in their original container?" Those who answered correctly (approximately 100% of the people who were prompted with the correct answer did succeed) were rewarded with a Vial of Life kit. ![]() Annual Pharmacy First Nighter![]() Purdue School of Pharmacy Family Day 2004![]() ![]() On Saturday, September 11, the School of Pharmacy hosted Family Day activities. Part of the celebration included recognition of students who have received academic excellence awards for the 2003 - 2004 and 2004 -2005 school years. Dean John Pezzuto and Dr. Holly Mason congratulated the students, who in turn introduced their families attending the festivities. Among students recognized were those who had achieved Academic Excellence awards for carrying 4.0 GPAs during the 2003-2004 school year. There were 42 1st Year Pre-pharmacy students; seven 2nd year Pre-pharmacy students; three 1st Professional Year students; and two each from the 2nd and 3rd Professional Years with 4.0 GPAs. Congratulations to all! ![]() Pre-Game Tailgater for Pharmacy PreceptorsImmediately prior to the Purdue vs. Ball State football game on Saturday, September 11, the School of Pharmacy Department of Experiential Programs hosted a tailgate party for the Preceptors who offer so generously of their time and talents to mentor our Pharmacy Students. Preceptors and their families, along with faculty and staff, all enjoyed the picnic served by freshman pre-pharmacy students in the tent located just outside the Pharmacy building. ![]() Fall Semester Events
