OSS: Career DevelopmentHow OSS Can Assist with Development of Your CareerCareer Development and Personal Growth efforts will include the integration of personal assessment, career exploration, job search and professional practice transition activities/programs in classes, student groups, alumni/industry presentations, site visits, and information resource access. Career development is coordinated with other student services providers on campus. The Center for Career Opportunities provides additional resources for career exploration, job search skill development, and on-campus interviews for internships and full time positions following a degree. The School of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Ambassadors work closely with the Center for Career Opportunities to schedule a career information and job fair each fall. The three-day event is comprised of an information/job fair during the first day, followed by employer presentations in the evening. The following two days are for internship and professional position interviews. This scheduling allows professional program students to return to campus from their experiential rotation assignments to participate in a highly concentrated job search effort. Additional opportunities for jobs, internships, or summer positions are posted individually on the Office of Student Services web site as employers experience need and identify openings.
