ScholarshipsPurdue's Divison of Financial Aid maintains a list of scholarships and grants. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS) Scholarships: Scholarship applications for continuing Pharm.D. and BSPS students are distributed each year in January and recipients are notified of awards in April that are applied to tuition and fees for the next academic year. Scholarship amounts typically range from $500 to $2,000 and approximately 150 such scholarships are awarded each year. There are also a small number of scholarships awarded to newly admitted Pharm.D. and BSPS students. Selected applicants are invited to apply for these scholarships following admission to their respective program. Requirements: Scholarships are competitive and the scholarship review committees consider the following combination of factors: grade point average, work experience, extra-curricular and leadership activities, and service activities. Certain scholarships target students with an interest in a particular career path. Contact: Associate Dean Holly L. Mason, School of Pharmacy, RHPH 106, (765) 494-9395 or holly@pharmacy.purdue.edu. Research FellowshipsSeveral research fellowships for undergraduate research are available on a competitive basis to students enrolled in one of the Pharmacy School undergraduate programs. These include summer research fellowships as well as many other opportunities for interested students. These are administered by Dr. Loudon, the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Programs. |
