Membership - How can my community pharmacy join?

Community pharmacies that join Rx-SafeNet are expected to actively participate in projects of their choosing, submit new project ideas, and assign a site contact who will be responsible for communicating with Rx-SafeNet about project opportunities.

Note: Please note that if your pharmacy is part of a chain, you will likely need permission from a regional manager or corporate office to participate in Rx-SafeNet.

Pharmacists interested in having their pharmacy join Rx-SafeNet may wish to share this one-page overview of the network with their supervisor.

Criteria for joining Rx-SafeNet:

  • Must be a dispensing community pharmacy. Ambulatory care clinics that do not also perform dispensing functions are not eligible to participate at this time.
  • Must establish a site contact (“site coordinator”) who will be responsible for communicating with Rx-SafeNet.  Pharmacies with multiple locations are welcome to appoint “co-site coordinators”, both an individual at the participating pharmacy and a regional contact so that both individuals will receive all communications about Rx-SafeNet.
  • Must complete and return a signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) to rx-safenet@purdue.edu
  • Must complete and return an electronic membership registration demographics survey. (Access will be granted once your MOU is received.) This survey is used to collect basic information from each pharmacy in the network in order to better understand member interests and the potential for participation in projects.
