Why are you a member of CDC?
I am a member of CDC because I want to inspire young pharmacy students to reach out to jobs and internships, and provide them with a sense of confidence when approaching an employer with that first handshake.
How long have you served on the CDC?
This is my first year on CDC.
Why did you choose to come to Purdue for Pharmacy?
I chose to study Pharmacy at Purdue because of their distinguished pre-pharmacy program. I believe that this school will best prepare me for my future pharmaceutical career.
What year are you in the program?
I am currently a PP2.
Where are you from?
I am from Los Altos, California.
What has been the most challenging point about school?
The most challenging part about studying at Purdue has been finding a purpose in each class I took.
What has been most rewarding?
The most rewarding part about being at Purdue has been meeting people from all kinds of different backgrounds.
What activities are you involved with and have you chosen to participate in them?
Apart from the CDC, I am also a conductor for the sponsorships committee for PUDM. I am extremely passionate about the cause that this organization is fighting for, and I find even the smallest difference I make in a Riley kid’s life to be very rewarding.
What professional experiences have you participated in over the summers?
I’ve participated in various jobs and internships, from marketing, to pharmacy, to camp counselor, and through them all, I found that working with people of all ages and backgrounds is the most rewarding and enriching.
What are your future career aspirations?
I would love to work as a pediatric pharmacist at a hospital back home.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to younger students in the program?
My strongest piece of advice for younger students in the program is to get comfortable asking for help early on. The quicker you can pick up on this skill, the more successful you will be in you college career and on.
What do you enjoy doing outside of pharmacy school?
I enjoy skiing.
What is you favorite ice cream?
My favorite ice cream flavor is Cookies and Cream.
