Lillian Barboul Thomas Professorship established with $1 million gift
September 9, 2020 - This Purdue Day of Giving, the Purdue College of Pharmacy is pleased to announce the establishment of a new Professorship. Lillian and Jim Thomas have generously donated $1 million to fund the Lillian Barboul Thomas Professorship.
Their gift will be matched by the Walther Cancer Foundation Matching Endowment. The Lillian Barboul Thomas Professorship will be funding a dual chair in the Purdue College of Pharmacy and the Cancer Center. This will increase the number of endowed chairs and professorships in the College to eleven.
Lillian and Jim have been long time supporters of the Purdue College of Pharmacy and understand the importance of having top notch faculty at the College. “Investing in faculty through professorships allows the College to further our legacy of leadership in the pharmaceutical sciences,” said Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Eric Barker. “We are grateful to the Thomas’ for this extraordinary gift!”
