August 11, 2014 - Dr. Ryan Drenan awarded a new five-year R01 grant

Dr. Ryan Drenan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, has been awarded a new five-year R01 grant from NIH/NIDA for a total of $1,677,829. The award will fund a project in his lab where he and his team will identify nicotine receptors in the brain responsible for nicotine addiction, as well as study how nicotine exposure changes these receptors and the circuits where they reside.
