Pharmacy Faculty Achievements
August 25, 2016 - Please join the Purdue College of Pharmacy in congratulating the following faculty on their recent achievements.
Dr. Chang-Deng Hu, Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, is the recipient of a new award from the US Army Medical Research program to support his project entitled, “Co-targeting of Androgen Synthesis and Androgen Receptor Expression as a Novel Treatment for Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer”. This award is for the amount of $564,044 from August 1, 2016 to July 31, 2019.
Dr. G. Thomas Wilson, Emeritus Professor of Pharmacy Practice, was honored at the national Phi Delta Chi convention as the 2015-2016 Outstanding Chapter Advisor by the Tau Chapter at Purdue.
Dr. Danzhou Yang, Professor, Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, is the recipient of funding from the National Cancer Institute for her project entitled, “Modulating c-MYC Transcription by G-quadruplex-interactive Small Molecules”. This award is for the amount of $1,150,795 from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019.
