Pharmacy Faculty Achievements
September 21, 2016 - Please join the College of Pharmacy in congratulating the following faculty on their recent achievements.
Dr. Douglas LaCount, Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for his project entitled, "Structural and functional characterization of the Ebola virus replication complex". This grant is funded from July 7, 2016, to June 30, 2021, for $13,350,910 as a program project to Washington University with Dr. Gaya Amarasinghe as the PI. Dr. LaCount is the subrecipient PI at Purdue University with annual funds of a little over $270,000.
Dr. Margie Snyder, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, is the recipient of a new award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for her project entitled, “Enhancing Clinical Decision Support Applications for Community Pharmacist-Delivered Medication Therapy Management”. This award is from September 13, 2016 to August 31, 2018 for $296,065.
Dr. Lynne Taylor, Retter Professor of Pharmacy, has received funding from the Food and Drug Administration on her project entitled, “Formulation, processing and performance interrelationships for amorphous solid dispersions.” This award is for $500,000 for September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017.
