After receiving his BS in Pharmacy and PhD in Industrial and Physical Pharmacy from Purdue University, Jeff Browne spent the first 11 years of his career working for The Upjohn Co. in Kalamazoo, Michigan. While at Upjohn, he held various positions in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Technical Services and Drug Delivery Research and Development with a focus on topical, transdermal, inhalation, and oral liquid dosage forms. For the next four years, he was Director of U.S. Technical Affairs for Rhoto Pharmaceutical Co. located in Osaka, Japan.
Since joining Catalent Pharma Solutions (formally RP Scherer and Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Technologies and Services) in 1994, Jeff has held a variety of positions including: Vice President Softgel Research and Development in St. Petersburg, Florida; Executive Director and Division Head of Pharmaceutical Development in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina; Director of Technical Services in St. Petersburg, Florida; Account Director, Business Development; Technical Director, Pharmaceutical Softgels; Research and Development Director, U.S. Platform Lead, Pharmaceutical Softgels; and most recently Director of Science and Technology. He is a Catalent President’s Club Winner and a two time recipient of Catalent’s CEO Award.
Jeff is an active member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) of which he has served on several Focus Group committees and frequently presents at regional and national AAPS meetings.
