Intro to Pharmacy and the Admissions Process - PHSC 20000

Purdue Pharmacy student talks with her advisor about courses.

PHSC 20000 is an introductory, elective course offered to any Purdue or non-Purdue college student interested in pursuing a career as a licensed pharmacist. This course is intended for students who plan to apply to a professional pharmacy program and is most relevant to those who plan to apply the semester they are enrolled in the course. The course is offered two ways. The first option is a live, synchronous course facilitated by the Purdue College of Pharmacy Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and professional program peer mentors. The second option is a synchronous online offering facilitated primarily by professional peer mentors. Purdue students register for the two-credit hour course, while non-Purdue students register for the zero-credit hour certificate course. The course leads applicants through the national PharmCAS application process and includes insights and foundational aspects of pharmacy practice that add value during a pharmacy interview.
