The prerequisites for admission into the BSPS program are the same as the prerequisites for general freshman entrance into Purdue University. The minimum qualifications are listed on the Office of Admissions Website. All applicants must meet upper-half quality requirements for admission. This is based on grades, test scores, and courses taken in excess of the minimum.
These requirements are the same for all applicants, from new high school graduates entering college for the first time to students already enrolled in college who are transferring from another major at Purdue or another institution altogether.
Admission preference is given to the following:
- Students applying that apply before March 1
- Students qualifying as Indiana residents
