A young Maurine De La Paz growing up on the island of Guam could have never predicted a future that took her 7,000 miles in pursuit of her dreams. With her passion for mental health and serving others in tow, Maurine made the giant leap to Purdue University to study pharmacy.

Maurine, a former Guam National Track and Field team member and coach, has a unique story to share. To her, a PharmD means helping people—and Purdue’s College of Pharmacy was the right fit. She credits the faculty, staff and students with helping her make Purdue her home away from home.
