Following the completion of post-graduate training, Dr. Trujillo was a clinical pharmacy specialist for trauma critical care for 9 years before transitioning into leadership.  Currently, he is Executive Director – Pharmacy, Clinical Nutrition, and Indiana Poison Center for Indiana University Health Adult Academic Health Center having responsibility for an average census of 750 patients and clinical pharmacy coverage of over 35 clinic sites throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area.  Dr. Trujillo has achieved the distinction, fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine and American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (ASHP).  Dr. Trujillo has put significant effort in developing and expanding residency training.  He is an active as a practitioner surveyor for ASHP residency accreditation services.  In addition, he serves as conference coordinator for Great Lakes Pharmacy Resident Conference since 2002.  Dr. Trujillo has served as the chair of the ASHP Council of Pharmacy Practice, president of Indiana Society of Health System Pharmacists, and recently completed a term as member at large on the Vizient Pharmacy Network Executive Committee.  Currently, he is chair of ASHP/ACPE Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission and is in his third 3-year term as an Indiana delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.
