The Purdue College of Pharmacy was pleased to present two faculty scholar awards during its Faculty Retreat held on May 12, 2022. The Chaney Faculty Scholar Award was presented to Dr. Stephen Byrn, Charles B. Jordan Professor of Medicinal Chemistry. This is the highest research award given to faculty by the Purdue College of Pharmacy. The award recognizes outstanding research, scholarship, or creative activity including professional accomplishments in the recipient's field. The Chaney Family Early Faculty Scholar Award was presented to Dr. Darci Trader, Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology. The purpose of this award is to recognize a Purdue College of Pharmacy faculty member in the first ten years of their career who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship. Both awards were established through the generosity of Jeannie (BS 1961) and James B. Chaney.
