Pharmacy Women for Purdue

Seeing that Purdue women wanted to play a significant role in Purdue’s future success, Women for Purdue (now part of the Purdue Women's Network) was established in 2003 to encourage and celebrate women’s leadership in giving to the university. Women for Purdue was created to be a collaborative philanthropic community that inspired women to recognize their individual and collective power to make a difference at Purdue and beyond.

In August, 2008, the Pharmacy Women for Purdue (PWFP) program was established as an extension of Women for Purdue to provide an opportunity for Pharmacy alumni to support programs that advance pharmacy careers and celebrate the contributions they have made, inside and outside of Purdue.

The primary focus of the group is fostering interaction between current students and alumni in the areas of mentoring, learning about diverse career paths, professional development, the transition from student to working professional, balancing career and family, networking, career advancement, standing out in the field as a young professional, and communication skills.

Each year, PWFP hosts a Spring Conference that brings together Pharmacy students and alumnae in an encouraging educational environment. Learn more.
